Courtney and Rory met in 2019, during their senior year at Indiana University. A mutual friend thought they'd be a good match, and introduced them. Though they were drawn to each other from the start, the sparks didn't truly fly until they reconnected on Courtney's birthday in 2021. Both being from different Chicago suburbs, they instantly bonded over their love for the Windy City. Courtney and Rory spent their time early in the relationship soaking up Chicago's city life, enjoying each other's friends and family, trying many new restaurants, and sharing lots of laughs. They also shared a love for the lake life, and often spent weekends making trips to Rory's lake house in Lauderdale Lakes, WI, and Courtney's in Glen Arbor, MI. They moved into their first apartment together in Wrigleyville along with their cat Stella, and added a goofball dog named Scout to the family. Then, in June of 2024, on a beautiful terrace overlooking the city of Positano, Italy, Rory asked Courtney to marry him. She, of course, said yes!
